About Me

I’m Dr. Sonny Miles—physician, healer, seeker, teacher, labyrinth walker, horse lover, wife, mother, and a woman who has traveled a long and winding road back to herself.
For years, I followed the formula that they promised would lead to fulfillment. I worked hard, achieved everything I was supposed to, and built a life that looked full on the outside. I trained at some of the most respected institutions in the world—MIT, UCSF, UCSD, and the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. I became triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
I spent my days listening to stories of people facing life and death, holding their fears, honoring their love, and learning from their wisdom.
And yet, when I paused long enough to listen, I realized I was lost.
I had checked every box, poured myself into caring for others, and done everything “right”… but I didn’t feel what I thought I would feel. The joy I longed for wasn’t there.
The dreams I had quietly carried inside me seemed to be slipping further away.
Maybe you know that feeling—the one where life looks good from the outside, but inside you wonder, is this really it?
My journey back to me wasn’t fast, and it wasn’t dramatic. There was no single moment of breaking. It was a winding path, one small step at a time. Learning to listen when my body whispered. Beginning to trust the quiet voice inside. Allowing myself to believe that joy and magic weren’t frivolous extras, but medicine.
Along the way, I found teachers in unexpected places—patients at the edge of life who reminded me what matters most, horses who taught me presence and power, women in circle who showed me the medicine of connection, my children who taught me how to receive love—not just give it, but let it all the way in, and the natural world, always whispering me back to truth.
Each of these moments, each of these teachers, guided me into a life more magical, more meaningful, and more alive than I once believed possible. And I am still walking that path, I am still becoming.
That’s what Honoring the Wisdom Within is all about.
It’s for women who, like me, have done everything they were supposed to do—and yet feel the dreams inside them fading. Women who are tired of betraying themselves to meet expectations. Women who long for something deeper, truer, more alive.
I’m not here to give you a checklist or fix what’s “broken.” You’re not broken. I’m here to walk beside you as you listen to yourself again.
To help you create a relationship with yourself so sacred, so nourishing, so magical, that you finally feel at home in your own life.
Because your life is too precious to keep going numb.
Your dreams are too sacred to leave behind.
And you—you are too powerful to stay lost.
