You’re not falling apart. In fact, that might be the problem.
From the outside, you look like you have it together.
You’ve perfected the art of juggling all the balls. You meet the deadlines. Remember the appointments. Take care of the people you love. Show up for your work. Get the groceries. Answer the texts. Handle the thing no one else even remembered needed handling.
People tell you, “I don’t know how you do it all.”
And you smile. Because they don’t see what it feels like on the inside.
The mental load that never really turns off. The exhaustion. The constant sense that there is something you’re forgetting. The awareness that you cannot keep adding balls to the air forever.
Most days, you manage it.
And then there are the days when one more thing happens—the sick parent, the unexpected email, the change in plans, the problem at work—and suddenly you are standing in your kitchen feeling like you might cry because you have absolutely nothing left to give.
Not because that one thing was so enormous.
Because there was no margin left for one more thing.
And tomorrow, you’ll probably pull yourself together and keep going. Because that’s what you do.
You’re capable. People depend on you. You know how to push through.
But high-functioning doesn’t always mean healthy. And it doesn’t always mean happy.
Sometimes you look around and wonder when life became so much about keeping everything going.
You remember when you felt lighter. When you had dreams you were certain would come true. When you felt alive and curious and excited about what might come next.
And somewhere underneath everything you’re carrying is a quieter question:
How did I get here?
And maybe the harder question:
Where do I go from here?
Because you don’t want to burn it all down.
You just know you can’t keep living exactly like this.
And maybe the hardest part is that you can’t remember when this became normal.
When did being tired become your baseline?
When did taking care of yourself become something you would get to later?
When did you stop asking what you wanted—and start asking only what needed to be done?
And here we are at the beginning of fall.
The light is changing. The days are getting shorter. The natural world is beginning to pull its energy inward.
Your body knows this rhythm, too.
And yet, just as nature is asking us to slow down, our lives are about to speed up.
The holidays are already humming in the distance. The gatherings. The travel. The gifts. The traditions. The end-of-year deadlines. Another season of creating, giving, remembering, holding.
It would be so easy to put your head down and push through until January.
You know how to do that.
But what if you didn’t?
What if, before the rush, you gave yourself four weeks to pause?
Not to start over,
but to become rooted enough in yourself that you can live differently.
This is why I created Rooted Within.
Rooted Within: An Autumn Journey is a four-week online experience for women who are ready to stop pushing through and begin tending to themselves.
For four Wednesday evenings beginning October 14, we’ll create the space that can be so difficult to find on your own.
Space to slow down. To breathe. To learn. To listen to your body and your own inner voice. To look at your health through a wider lens. To notice what is asking for your attention—and what you may be ready to put down.
Together, we’ll explore the wisdom of the autumn season, whole health, your relationship with yourself and your nervous system, and the role of deep listening, grief, and release.
Each gathering will weave together teaching, gentle movement, meditation, journaling, and conversation, with space to ask questions and an intention to carry with you into the week.
This is not another program designed to give you a longer list of things you should be doing.
It is four weeks of intentionally putting yourself back on your own list.
You don’t need to have it figured out.
You just need to be willing to pause long enough to listen.
What becomes possible when you make space for yourself?
Imagine moving into the rest of fall feeling a little less like you’re bracing for what’s coming—and a little more rooted in yourself.
You understand your body differently. You begin to recognize the signals you’ve been overriding and the places your nervous system is asking for more support.
You have a wider understanding of your health—not as another list of things to perfect, but as a reflection of the whole of your life.
You’ve had space to ask questions you rarely have time to ask:
What do I need?
What is working?
What isn’t anymore?
What am I ready to put down?
What do I want more of?
You begin to hear your own voice underneath all the noise.
And instead of entering the next season simply trying to keep up, you move forward with greater clarity about what you want to tend, what you want to protect, and what you no longer want to carry.
Not a completely different life.
A different way of being inside the life you already have.
Four weeks. Four invitations to go deeper.
Each week of Rooted Within builds on the one before it—moving from the wisdom of the season, into the landscape of your health, deeper into your relationship with yourself, and finally into the quiet work of listening and letting go.
WEEK ONE — Turning Inward - October 14
The invitation of autumn
We’ll begin with the wisdom of the season. We’ll explore autumn through the lens of nature, traditional healing systems, and the feminine archetype of the Sage/Crone—and consider what changes when we allow ourselves to live a little more seasonally.
You’ll begin with a simple question: What is asking to be tended in me right now?
WEEK TWO — Whole Health - October 21
Seeing the whole of you
Your health is about so much more than what you eat, how you move, or what your lab values say. I’ll introduce you to my whole-health model and invite you to look at the larger ecosystem of your well-being—your body, your nervous system, your relationships, your rhythms, your inner world, and the life you are living.
Not to find everything that needs fixing, but to notice: Where am I supported, and where am I asking for more care?
WEEK THREE — The Relationship Within October 28
Your body, your nervous system & you
We’ll explore the nervous system through the lens of polyvagal theory and begin noticing the ways you respond to stress, safety, and the demands of your life.
And we’ll go deeper into perhaps the most important relationship you will ever have: the relationship you have with yourself.
What might change if, instead of overriding your body, you began to listen to it? What would it mean to become someone your body can trust?
WEEK FOUR — Deep Listening, Grief & Release - November 4
Honoring what has been. Making space for what comes next.
Autumn reminds us that letting go is part of the natural cycle.
In our final week, we’ll create space for the things we so rarely stop long enough to acknowledge—the losses, changes, identities, expectations, and seasons of our lives that may need to be honored before they can be released.
We’ll listen deeply for what you already know and ask:
What am I ready to put down? And what do I want to make space for instead?
You’ll be Led by a Guide Who Has Walked the Path
Your guide, Sonny Miles, MD, is an expert facilitator, intuitive healer, and skilled space holder. She is also a conventionally trained physician who has walked her own profound healing journey. Over the years, she has explored the mind, body, and spirit from many angles and her deepest work has been weaving these threads together—creating truly integrated practices that meet the whole person.
Sonny doesn’t just teach this work—she embodies it. She knows what it takes to turn inward, to listen, and to create space for transformation. She will lead you deep into yourself with both courage and care—because she knows that real transformation often lives beneath the surface.
She isn’t afraid of hard conversations, difficult emotions, or the tender places you may have avoided. Her work goes to the roots—meeting grief, pain, and the buried stories that still shape how you live. And she will hold steady as you meet them too, creating a space that is safe enough, brave enough, and sacred enough for you to come home to yourself.

Yes. And somewhere along the way, you learned that your needs come second. That being a good woman means showing up, holding it all, and rarely asking for anything in return.
But your body is speaking—tight, tired, done.
And your soul keeps whispering: not like this. You know it’s time.A Sacred Pause was created for exactly this moment—when the doing has taken over, and the being has been lost.
It’s not just a retreat. It’s a radical act of remembering that you matter.
Not after everything else is handled. Not when it’s convenient. Now.

It’s hard to spend money on yourself—especially when you’re so used to giving. Care, energy, time, attention… those flow out easily. But when it comes to receiving? To investing in you? That’s where the resistance rises.
But here’s the truth: you are the foundation of your life.
And tending to yourself—your body, your spirit, your aliveness—is not extra.
It’s everything.A Sacred Pause isn’t just one day.
It’s an investment in the life you say you want, not the one you’ve been settling for. -

Tentative Flow of the Day
Opening
We begin in circle, opening sacred space and rooting into intention. This is where we arrive fully, grounding into presence and calling forth the day together.Reconnect
A journey inward — returning to your deepest self. Through meditation, altar-making, journaling, and inquiry, you’ll begin to see where you may have abandoned yourself, where your life has drifted out of alignment with what you most need. This is a space for deep truth — and in truth, many emotions can arise: grief, pain, joy, liberation, celebration. Here you are invited to feel it all, to be witnessed, and to remember what is real and vital within you.Nourishment
A midday pause for food and rest, nourishing body and spirit in community.Release
We turn toward what is ready to be shed. Through embodied movement and ritual, we honor where we’ve been and let go of what no longer serves — pain, grief, shame, other people’s expectations, and the old stories we’ve carried that no longer fit. In loosening their hold, we create the spaciousness to step into a truer, more powerful, more authentic version of ourselves.Reclaim
With sound, affirmation, movement, and writing, we anchor a new way of seeing and being into our bodies and our energy. We call ourselves back — our voice, our joy, our belonging, our courage — and commit to living in alignment with what matters most. Here, we are witnessed not only in our letting go but in our rising.Closing
We gather once more in circle, honoring what has been opened, moved, and reclaimed. Together, we seal the container of the day — carrying forward the wisdom, clarity, and strength that has emerged.
A Sacred Pause:
Reconnect, Release, Reclaim
Everyone who registers by September 30 will receive a bonus 30 minute integration call with Sonny after the retreat.
Your life is precious.
Your body knows it. Your soul knows it.
Let this be the moment you stop pretending it’s not.
